Hi, Lynn thanks for the info, my carrier at present is running a post war flathead, If I can get hold of a cowl for a Ford Flathead CMP truck, I guess I can replicate it and make it fit, I am getting some more pics of the correct cowl from the Canadian War Museum. The cowl you talked about for a Canadian and British carrier I am familiar with as I have one here, the parts list book lists a different cowl arrangement for the tank hunter, ford canada part number C21UCG 101130 Shroud assembly, 101131 fan shroud left hand, 101132 right hand, 101133 top section. I going to put an add out for a CMP ford truch fan cowl wanted and see what turns up.

kevin.

How much diferent is your engine cover profile at the radiator, cross section?
I realize that your top cover is rounded, but I wondered if all you had to do, was modify the top of the universal carrier one. The assemby of the whole deal might be tricky, with a one piece shroud. Your original may not too different from the U.C. one. An extra bolt hole is nearly reason enough to allocate a new part number
Is there anyone on the forum (or someone who knows someone) who may be able to post a picture of the right shroud for your carrier?

Hi Kevin

The cowl that came in my carrier is an original one. Its the same kind as pictured above. It is very different then the normal carrier ones and looks like as you said coming from a CMP
