Engine conversion....
Hi Michel
Have you checked out the Dodge Power wagon forum..... a number of engine conversions have been done in the past and most of the bugs have been worked out..... if I believe Snake River in the USA is making adapters..... Some are even running Dodge Industrial 361 CU.... ......which is a destroked 383cu block adapted for heavy truck use.. in the 60 they were the conversion engine of choice to re-engine the International tractor trailer at Overnight Express. Some model of Perkins 4 and 6 cylinders have also been done. Don't forget that you can have two 251 engines professinnaly rebuilt for the price of a good Cummins engine. Boob

I would like to put a 6 cyl diesel but the problem is the size of those engine!
The only one i think should fit is a new 1106D perkins 36 inch long but i think it has an ECM. The CUMMINS 6BT is +- 41 inch long dosent fit without BIG modification!

Locking gas caps.....
Standard size available at Canadian Tire....
If you are looking for the large M37 gas cap....... NIX...... you will need to build your own with a small metal strap welded on the side of the truck box and padlock...... carefull welding above the open gas tank opening....! May be easier to lock up the kids....... Tried looking up cylinder sleeves..... Nylen used to make them for Chev engines but do not seem to be existing under that name...... lots of sleeves available for expensive Diesel rebuilding but very little for old gas engines. May also be very difficult to find a machine shop willing to tackle an engine they are not familiar with or set up to work on a 50 years old engine. I would search for a mchine shop that specializes in rebuilding older gas engine for farm tractors........ the 251 was used by Massey Ferguson tractors and combines. Boob

I no that stant makes many locking gas cap but the problem is thay dont say wath size thay are!
I think y will modifie one of stant so it could fit on it! I cant lock up the kids its the nabers   I will send a message to sealed power i no thay make cylinder sleeve. may be able to match them!
