Not going to make it today, Alex... other issues have taken my time. PM me your address and I'll see you get some stickers before you go.

Default It was nice meeting you.

I would not like to let this thread die without saying what a pleasure it was to meet Ian and Carol. It was a small crowd but those present found an abundance of topics to discuss and new friendships were made. All this was thanks to MLU.
MLU is more than a website.... it is a family bulletin board where like minded individuals meet and make their dreams come true.

Default Too busy lately,

I have a photo of Ian, but it isn't all that good. It makes Ian look a little saintly...

I echo Guy's sentiments, and note that we were in the presence of a high quality restorer. Ian brought a photo album of the vehicles he owns or owned. All were truly well restored and well maintained. All I could say was "Wow"...

The ladies of Gracies were of course very nice to look at - and don't ask for photos - come to the next meet and look for yourselves...

Default Many Thanks for the hospitality

I would like to thank Alex, Guy, 'Mr HUP' and other ROTers that dropped in at Gracies to give both Carol and myself an insight to true Canadian hospitality and introduction to several new dishes.

The final numbers of attendees was not necessarily that great, but the conversation, warmth of a common interest and general banter made up for it all and the evening flew by in a flash. If any of you are ever across the great pond and find yourselves lost for a place to share more stories over a meal and invitation to accommodation, just use the forum.

As mentioned by Guy it was the likes of this 'chance meeting' that only became possible because of MLU, keep up the good work Geoff and sorry to have missed you. Alex, thank you for making the booking and for a memorable night from both Carol and myself.

Ian

Ian..
I was truly pleased that you and Carol were able to make it and enjoyed meeting and gabbing with you both..The introduction of Deep Fried Dill pickles and sweet potato fries went over well ..
You certainly seemed familiar with the Guinness.and did not need an intro ..
WE are looking forward to your next trip to see your son ..
I was impressed with our time together and would gladly introduce round two..
A fun time was had by all and know that those who missed our gather up missed an opportunity to meet a really cool and lovely couple..
Alex..
