Default restoration of my Austin

It took 6 years to finish this project. Time was an essential key, which I did not have. The last years a professional finished the restoration to a roadworthy vehicle. This year I hope to make it complete with some minor features, such as rifle clip etc.

How far are you with your restoration?

cheers
Arjan

Looks superb Arjan, I have noticed you in TT. Do you know your chassis number to work out a serial number? Ron

Default WD number

Your Tilly is also a beauty.

Mine does has a WD-number. It's only shown at the rear and driverside. John Simpson of the tilly Register was so kind to figure it out from the chassisnumber.

Cheers

Beautiful tilly, Arjan! Do you have Bart Vanderveen's Austin Tilly article (from Wheels & Tracks)? If not, I have scans of it, so just let me know.

John Simpson is a good guy. I've been in touch with him several times, and he was kind enough to send me some Tilly Texts containing data I was seeking. I in turn sent him my Rootes wartime document.

Ah! Arjan, I was worried that you didn't have a serial number and I also have the list to work it out. It looks even better from that side with the number in place. Ron

I was lucky I could buy the complete Wheels&Tracks. But thanks very much for the offer.
The Tilly Register has a website, which I "webmaster". I receive often email about new found Tillys or questions. Some manuals are digital available on the sites about the Tillys.

Cheers
Arjan
