The NR2 Brown was introduced around 1943 for the Italy campaign if I recall correctly, Mainly after the desert fiasco prior to Alamein with various units all having different cammo schemes, it was problematic for ground commanders to ID vehicles as friend or foe.... The Canadian / British coalition standardised the paint schemes for specific theaters of war after this point. Paul I wonder if yours has been to Italy or prepped for Italy / MEF campaign ? I know that vehicles (carriers) produced after 43 on orders for MEF were dispatched in the NR2 brown from factory (rather than the olive drab)
