By eyeball it certainly looks too long to be a F60S. Several possibilities - cab (or part of it) bearing data plates was swapped from a F60S onto a F60L frame (comparing engine/serial #s between the engine and the data plates might shed light on it), frame was stretched to permit longer loads (or more overloading, depending on your point of view), mislabelled from day 1.

The shed was too dark & the day too wet to slide underneath & have a good look, but from what I could see, the chassis did not appear to be stretched. I was unable to see the engine number and the data plate number to see if the numbers matched. Also, the rear tray appears to be a machinery body... which wouldn't fit on a S chassis... My guess is that the instrument panel has been replaced at one stage and the data plate came from the donor vehicle. Like I said, I should get a better look at it in a couple of weeks. ![]()

...is the long wheelbase has a two piece tailshaft with a centre bearing, the 'S' has a single piece.
