Would the wing nut be the same size as the wing nuts on the "Bren Gun" tripod holders on a mk1 carrier? 2 heavy springs are with these mounts, a Valve spring would work. Jim

I think the wingnut was a 3/8dia BSF one. It should be the same that was on the pick axe head bracket or the battery hold down bracket rods.

Maybe I missed it, but I don't see the opening width dimension in Kevin's drawing, so mine measures 34mm (yes it is original)
Skip, make the stud longer than the photo.
