Whilst I am concerned about how our friend and leader is getting on, we can only hope that the best of attention will prevail.

If the Canadian hospital system is the same as ours there is another matter that could be of concern, and that is the financial impact of his recovery.

If we passed around the hat, we could come up with some practable help, which is about the best most of us can do.

Perhaps best done in Canada and I for one will one of the first to hit the can.

Just a thought the situation could be even more serious than we understand now.

Shawn and Ashley are both very aware of Geoff's extended family at MLU and TANKNET. Geoff is at ICU at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, they will not release any information. His Son Shawn is sending SITREPS on Geoffs condition for us to share with everyone. Mates it does not look good. I received this this AM for release. I have posted it at TN, and in fairness you should see it as well.

Andrew I received this message from Shawn very early this morning. I will let you post in the forum what you decide to post about it ... I am unable to right now ...

"Dad's condition is worsening... since Thursday night when we spoke, his blood pressure has dropped and his kidneys began to fail, necessitating dialysis treatment. a few hours ago the hospital called to let me know that his heart rate had begun fluctuating, and that they were putting him on appropriate medication for that.

They had taken him out of sedation earlier in the evening, and yet as of my last conversation with the nurse, he still hadn't regained consciousness, which isn't unusual. I was finally told during this conversation that his condition has gone from bad to worse, although the staff are still guarded about where it is all going. I expect that they won't make that call until they've exhausted all their options as medical professionals. ... please pass this along to those of dad's friends with whom you've been in touch."
