Thanks Marc, Richard and Lynn for your prompt replies. Marc that site does not mention the English Ford Pilot anywhere at all but thanks anyway.
Richard I think you are right. It is probably a Lucas. The only number I have found is in the cap. FO-420. Lynn, I'll try Trademe.NZ any assistance will be welcome. I have attached a photo taken from a current Ebay listing. ( Ebay No.170578136066) It is not clear but shows that the distributor is about 4 inchs deep not 2 inches like the USA Crab type.
