Great work, How does the drive work with sprockets on both ends. Is one end free wheeling. Having a set of brakes each end would make turning very easy if they are adjusted correctly.
Keep up the good work.
Colin.

Essentially the Loyd is a truck chassis reversed. The front axle drives, the rear axle is braked, but does not drive. All four hubs are braked by cable. They have the enclosed driveshaft as per the older Thames traders, Cost cutters etc. (if you had them in Aussie)

Default Canadian Loyd ???

Guy’s i have another mystery.
Got some photos of a Canadian workshop and they show a loyd, but not the loyd carrier build in Britain.
It seems a canadian prototype based on the loyd but much better and stronger.

?????????????

I've seen those photos before here on the forum, it never got beyond the prototype phase.

Maybe they used a "proper" V8 chassis, i.e. a Ford Canada CMP chassis instead of a Fordson 7V one?

H.
