From the same old article by Claassen (Mars et Historia) that came up with the Maple Leaf tractor. The commandowagens served with the artillery battalions and possibly in other units.

Hanno, might this be a Marmon-Herrington delivery?

Enjoy.

I think this is probably the HQ Car of 2nd Mountain Arty Btn (A II Bg) Salatiga, Java.

By the way: Both Mountain Arty Btns were by 1942 motorized (A I Bg less 3rd Bty garrison Tjimahi, 3rd Bty Batoedjadar Firing Range) aswell as three units mobilized by Depot Mobiele Artillerie (DMA) in Tjimahi, namely 7th Mountain Bty, Bty van Praag (3 x 75mm Krupp M/11) and a Howitzer Section (2 x 105 mm Bofors M/24).
