After just having to go through the flooding here in Gympie I wish our Victorian mates the best in coping with the rising waters and hope property losses are kept to a minimum.

Default Floods

Hi Guys

I am just home, have been sleeping either at the SES shed doing night shifts or at the shop during the day to supply diesel to the local SES.. I think its 9 days since i left for work last week, not been home since

The Dukw was used on the tuesday night when we saved the power sub station, ferrying manpower, sandbags, food and water.. We also used the Dukw on a search and rescue opperation.. the missing Lady was found alive and well.. Thankfully no one has been injured in the floods..

Hopefully we have a couple of weeks to prepare for the next instalment, there is rain expected in the first week of next month and that could really create problems for our community

So the last 2 weeks has just been training for what is to come.

Thanks to everyone who rang and sent messages, was just very difficult at times to reply

Tim

Default Re. Floods

Hi Tim - well done. This adds to the provenance and heritage of your WW2 DUKW. Should be on a buscuit tin.

Bob

There is a fair chance the Dukw will get on a tin :-)
