The second mark of muzzle brake makes the gun too long. I believe brakes were retrofitted to earlier guns.
One would expect that the mounts would be for the earlier version anyway, as that is what was in place in 1940. But I have tried both style front mounts from my Boys rifles and never had luck figuring which went into those clips and socket at the back. |

Hi, I had a couple of new old stock boys monpod/tripod mounting clips which I offered up on the rear of the carrier, I tried a boys Mk1 monopod in the Mk1 carrier rear stowage position, why does it not fit?.Kevin.

Hi,
I'm looking for the lower half of a Boys, that is the 'carriage', pistol grip, monopod, etc., (non-pressure bearing parts) and also an early round muzzle brake. I know these parts are difficult to come by, but hope springs eternal.......
