well, no intention of attempting a tics system..however, wouldnt mind getting the right plug for the hole...un-officially if need be ;-)
you can see the screw holes if you look closely indicating a very rectangular plate- I"ll have to get exact measurements at end of May here's a slightly better photo

Mystery hole
Marc, have a look...
I remembered seeing that hole somewhere or what might belonged there back in the day and here is that picture I've been looking for. If this is correct or not I don't know but it looks to fit ok. Paul

hey, thanks for the photo Paul ! but, now that is interesting..and confusing...
The fixture on Scotts photo of Iltis in theatre, is the right size, rectangular shape and location to match the holes in my and other Iltis, and the "connector" resembles the comms outlet on the G-wagen BUT the Gwagen fixture mounting plate does not seem to match, being smaller and square Paul's slave outlet mounting plate also has the right shape, size, and location: it goes with what Scotty's initial theory was..BUT, on the other hand, the photo of the jeep in theatre clearly is not a slave outlet. so..it seems narrowed down...could it be there were/are different comms fixture suppliers and the "older" ones had larget backing plates.. or- some were modified for slave fixtures, others for comms.. Is there a CFTO on this? I guess I could stick a dummy slave outlet there but anybody know someone who served in Bosnia, perhaps comms, perhaps mechanic,, or was of the 80's era and might know or remember?

well that`s excellent. !! at last a photo which clearly shows the mounting plate with correct placement of holes through the body. and the fixture itself...
Who`s jeep is that and or where to get an up close look and take some measurements.... unless its possible to get one of these plates and fixtures.. (asking even more hopefully) I presume the fixture itself is not an integral part of the unit mounted behind it? what does IKEE stand for please?

I will be often around the kingston Gananoque area this summer, we could meet for sure. In fact, will be down that way at end Feb.
makes sense re the remote radio operation. If its for an rt-524 model, then should be available somewhere shouldnt it? and, or, is it a universal connection that worked also with TCCCS? any answer to the other questions?
