As a lover and collector of old movies, I regularly like to see them over again. I am sure other MLU members may recall the thread and who knows we could keep it going.

Yes, I recall that thread...damned if I can find it yet. I recall making a comment about the soldier who was painted blue in "Ice Cold in Alex". Still dunno the significance of that portrayal.

Default Lost command

Hi Mark and Jon

Nice to see we are off again on movies. I had a good look at the old threads and can't locate where we had the thread previously. I know there are a lot of MLU's out there who love the movies and maybe like to discuss them.

Marc you mentioned a French film " L'ENNEMI INTIME ", this reminded me of a movie made in 1966. "Lost Command" starring Anthony Quinn about the French Foreign Legion and their defeat in the battle of Dien Bien Phu in Vietnam. After returning to France a new battalion is formed to go to Algeria to sort out the rebellion there led by a former French Legionaire officer played by George segal.

This was a pretty good movie and shows a lot of ex WWII Jeeps which were used by the new battalion in Algeria. This will send the pulses racing for all Jeep buffs. See if you can hire the movie you won't regret watching it.

Cheers guys

Tony
