I didnt get a chance to swing by this year. I just live around the corner from the museum, and just purchased an M2 halftrack the day before. Was thinking of dragging it over, but due to weather and other commitments couldn't. Maybe next year I'll be able to drive it over !

What's hiding under the net on the Leopard hull?

I think you will find that the cam netting is hiding the fact that the Leopard does not have a turret.
That was one of the ones surplused a few years ago and none had turrets. Likely someone who was there will confirm. R |

It in fact does have a turret, but not a proper one. I have a buddy who bought 2 of them when they were being surplussed. He offered me one a year or so ago, both running, but no turrets. Good luck finding one! Wonder what the military did with them?

Truth be told there is half a turret under there. It was a drivers training tank. That is the only turret you can get here in Canada when the Govt. sells them off.
Vettes I would love to get a look at your M2 sometime. |

If you want one come over here to Australia. I remember reading we bought 90+ turrets off Canada when you guys upgraded your Leo1s with x-german turrets. Now that we have M1A1s they're probably rusting out in the open somewhere.
