The British Plymouth is listed as its own entity from 1930 to 1932, and is Canadian sourced. Finally, still from 1948's Motor Specs and Prices, here is the British Dodge data. This is the most curious of all. The Dodge is listed as being American sourced. It's shown for 1925-1940, 1942, and 1946. But not 1941?? The 1942 listing is interesting, as it would corroborate the 1942 Dodge (if that's the brand it was) David saw a picture of.

re badged cars
Similar to Canada , the local Richards/Chrysler cars here , were all Plymouths , rebadged as Dodge and De Soto . It was a cheap way of marketing .
I guess they figured the market was just not big enough to justify making the whole range . Mike

1942 Dodge Chrysler
I met a fellow this year that told me he knows where there is a couple of staft cars sitting behind a barn .He wanted to know if they were worth anything . I saw one in the Youkon two years a go .These cars would need a few bucks to restore
