Interesting numbers. A fellow by the name of Bob Clarke quoted me the same number last month. I thought there would have been over 1000 orderd by the Canadian Army. My jeep is F-200283 delivery date 01-14-53 making it the 242 jeep built. My Dad has the original CFR recorded somewhere in his files. I am busy stripping down my 68 CDN 2 which is in very rough shape, to make room for this jeep. My childhood friends dad bought this jeep in 71. My Dad with his M38 and this A1 spent many a weekend together driving the power lines of Sudbury and making apperances in parades. The jeep stayed in his family being passed on. I had inquired about its availability. I received a call in 2002 that the jeep was mine and I was to meet one of the brothers who was the current owner to bring the jeep to my house. The jeep was stolen from its storage location, gone and I figured dismantled for parts. Time goes by and 9 yrs later I find the jeep on the side of the road. The jeep was recovered thanks to keeping the ownership all these years. I finally got my jeep funny though this would be my third as I had accepted the jeep was gone and found a CDN 3 and a CDN 2 last summer as I really wanted one. When you least expect it things pop up.
