Hey little Jo, that's probably all it's worth.
It's come from the Phillipines, it will not be a real WW2 jeep. You'll note it has the one piece windscreen not found on WW2 jeeps. There is no frontal shots as it probably has CJ/M38 headlights etc. http://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/...CJX57ICDD58704 |

Hi Ryan
Yes mate, I noted the one piece windscreen, the electric wipers at the bottom of the screen, one piece wheel rims, no Jerry Can Holder, completely differrent set of guages, grab handles on the window. One give away was the camera angles concealing some of the workings. I checked the chassis number and it definately is too high for a 1942 produced Jeep. I just hope some keen person wanting to be part of our fraternity does not get sucked in. With a damaged engine not a good buy. Buyer beware. Cheers Tony ![]()

Hi all - one good thing is the rider Shannons attach to their advertisments;
Note: Shannons advise that all potential buyers research all vehicles before purchase to authenticate originality. Bob

Hi All
I have an update regarding the 1942 Jeep. My brother who attended a 4 day car show in Sydney over the weekend advised he attended the Shannons Auction and advised the Jeep advertised as a 1942 Jeep Ute was sold for $10,000. I only hope the buyer has knowledge of WW2 Jeeps and is aware of what to look for when buying a Jeep. ![]() Cheers Tony ![]()

Not much of the original Jeep left of that one. Looks like it could really thunder along with that V8 in there but I wouldn't want to be in it. I think I will stick to my original 1942 MB Willys Jeep. But I guess some one will buy it and call it a Jeep. ![]() Cheers Tony ![]()
