Default Parts...... and more parts.....

Hi Jason

It has always been my firm belief that you cannot do a CMP with only one truck..... you always need a few spare parts trucks to cannibalize.....

If you have received 5 or six old CMP windshield frames you will notice that all the bottoms are usually rusted while the tops are relatively good...... you should have enough channel parts to rebuild a set for yourself..... uncle Bill H. should be able to help you out with measurements.

Here is another lead you may wish to pursue...... only one condition.... if you go to see the trucks you must take pictures for MLU.....

Late last May while raiding the East coast, I was approached by a chap when refuelling just outside of Fredericton.... he claims that a friend had a couple of CMPs.... from what he described cab 13..... one bad shape one fairly complete..... you may want to contact him.... the email address he gave me got wet and smudged so was not able to contact him by email.... however he left me his business card....

Call EMS....Electric Motor Servise, 556 Bishop Drive in Fredericton....
506-458-8770 ask how you can get in contact with "Billy Fitzgerald" Service Technician..... remember that buying a whole rolling parts truck is far cheaper than buying individual parts.....

In regards to your other enquiry about the reinforcement ribs inside the cab 13 back wall....... if you cannot find some originals we can probably help you out...

Say "HI" to uncle Bill ....... be nice to him ....he can be a tremendous resource.

Its not that bad..or so i think but most people thought i was crasy when i did the GPW also, there rear is bad but its all there, and engine runs...but really needs work.
I bought a reproduction manifold, it was cast wrong and then all the holes were drilled out larger, tryedto get my money back but the fellow wouldent do it.
So ya still in need of a manifold, that was what some of the guys on here was poking fun at a week ago,I have a 41 slat grill in the works , the 43 ford in the picture, a 52 cdn m-38 and now the Cmp...prolly more than whats needed...lolKeeps me out of the house.
