Dodge D-15 and D-60 info

I don't have any numbers other than it seems the Census Numbers allocated to donated panel vans used as ambulances. I have put my file on the internet as a doc file as I don;t have the facility now to save as html files these days.

I do however have a parts list with all Canadian and US trucks delivered as Dodges or Fargos and they seem to have serial numbers. There is also a list of numbers for US war contracts which has been interesting to peruse.

it's this section that looks to be of interest;

There is also a 1940-41 1-Ton T-116: CANADIAN DODGE DC2-20 T-116-120 120” w.b. and DC2-33 T-116-33 T-116-133 Serials # 8916601 to 8918281

I didn't grasp that it only covered 1680 trucks, but there you go. It was the split between T-116-120 ( have to be pickups ) and T-116-133 ( panel or pickup ) that would have told me what I needed to know.

However the fact that all the census numbers you have were for use as ambulances suggest that all the ones used outside Canada may well have been 133" panel ambulances.

Food Carried to Paris in US Trucks Driven by French.

Frenchmen drive U.S. trucks into a pool area just after they were unloaded from ships which brought them under lend-lease from England. The trucks will be loaded with food at the Normandy beaches and will then travel in convoys to Paris.
