So did that plate extend up the back towards the frame rail or just have a lip on it?

The 3 remaing flat head crews..... fourth one rusted away ....held the bottom of the battery box.

You should ask Santa for one of those 10,000 pieces puzzle for Xmas..... you are good at it.
