Thats crazy. There is a place in the US that will do all that in poly for under 100 to a halftrack boogie. LOL, maybe there is more to a carrier than halftrack.

Guys,
Back to the drawing board. I am quoting out both smooth rubber (70D) and polyurethane 20" OD forklift tires. I have found a local machine shop that can press forklift tires onto rims. The have a lathe big enough to hold, part off and machine a 20" forklift tire. The $205.00 each price is very good, the almost $600 price isn't in our budget. I will let post to MLU, under a new thread, as soon as I find out. Richard

I think there is some confusion here... Richard is quoting some tire recapping prices and bogey wheel rerubering is getting into the mix also... There is a hell of a difference.. First of all I am not familiar with a Price for 60D Tire re-rubber What is a 60D Tire...??60"Diameter tire..?? smooth rubber (70D)??? What the hell are 60D and 70D tires..?? Give some proper sizes and straighten me up please.. These are definitely not carrier bogie wheels.. Thanks. 20" forklift tire. The $205.00 each price is very good

Alex 60D and 70D are hardness tests for rubber as tested with a durometer.

Carrier Friends,
I know it has been a sore point on the forum before as McMaster Carr will not ship outside the united states but I do like their representation of durometer which can be found on this link. http://www.mcmaster.com/#about-rubbe...rdness/=g2d6wq Stephen DeMocko '44 MKII So Cal, USA |

MacMaster will ship to US address and arrangements for pickup or secondary delivery and pick up for border crossing can be arranged...... Gunner knows what I mean and it is all legal.... you will incur shipping and PST and GST at the border. Good UC wheels are in such short supplies that if they can be economically and approriately retired it can be done.
Hardness, appearance, durability and price all has to be worked out by the buyer or buyers with some experimentation...... Bob
