it might fit but it would be like buying the wife a new dress, the housing fits BUT then the tailshaft, diff housing could make the exercise very expensive, just like new shoes, hand bag and hair. must have one around here some where will look in the 37 chev wreck for you this w/end .

Hi Bob
I've seen the same thing early transmissions have the entire speedo machining on the end of the transmission and the internal gear. Later have neither the machining, bosses are there but not drilled and tapped. Also there is no gear on the rear shaft. Cheers Phil
