I have the insulator as in your photo. It is the bare insulator.
I also have the big carrier one as a complete assy. I am reminded that I am supposed to enquire about casting the base ring. To be clear, who has the insulator toothed (cup) ring for the small insulator, or the square flat toothed ring, that mates with it?

Lynn, this is what I have so far.
An aluminium repro toothed square base, supplied by Nigel Ward, down your way. A mushroom shaped insulator that is a machined down ground station insulator. a toothed cup made from wood and resin as a pattern for casting. This is your one, which is shorter and a different shape to the picture in my original post above. Ron |

Ron, i cant help with what type you need but I am soon to have in my hand the following parts, to reproduce these items in the picture for my mk1 carriers. It turns out Lynn is not the only one in the world to have one, When i get these parts i will give the man body to Ben to copy as a cast. This should end the mystery of Mk1 carrier aerial components.

That's great Kevin and should sort you MK1 boys out. My dilemma is to get some more information on the truck style. I have emailed Mike Kelly in the hope that he will join in with more info.
Where is Ben located? Does he have access to a sympathetic foundry? Ron |
