Thanks Lyn. A much shallower dome than the one I am going to use. Ron

Default insulator

I've got the same type of insulator that Lynn has . It's part of the ground base setup. The brass cup sits on a spike, you push it into the ground .

Is yours the ground base Lynn ?

MIKE

I think this is the truck mount. I got this pic off Bruce Parker some time ago. He likely still has it.

Default Mike and David

Mike I have all of the Carrier mount, but only have the bare insulator of the smaller one (in my pictures) I suspect it was also used on carriers, and that the toothed base is interchangeable between both size insulators (5/8 and 7/8" aerials)
David the one in your picture is the one fitted to carriers.
You will see there are two sets of holes on the carrier mount. The brass toothed mount fits the smaller set of holes, and is the same as yours.
Maybe some one can explain the use of the larger hole set?

Can any one tell me the development of the repro casting etc. I want one for an early Dingo with 11 set

I have some technical drawing of the base with dimensions. Would have posted it here but don't know how to post a picture. If you want the drawings please email me.
