Mentioning Italian gear , the two Fiat SPA artillery trators, one of them is running now , without bodywork . The owner had it displayed at the Warragul old fairs show, with some 1950's era pics of it on a farm in Gippsland , with the body still on it . he bought it form Belfields auction.

I believe one of the Hughes, of Hughes trading Coburg went to Europe just post WW2 and bought some WW2 German gear. The 2 stroke generators that we know of , and a VMVC member bought them there at Hughes in the late 1980's . MIKE

That list is impressive, would love to see the Pz I and Pz III, even their remains. The only thing to do with a Tiger tank I have seen in Australia was an original manual on ebay for sale in Adelaide. It sold for over $1000.

Mike, Did one of the Fiats have a fork lift fitted to it at one stage while on the farm? |

No I didn't see a fork lift on it . The present owner had a display board with it at the show , and many pics of it . He claimed it was shipped to New Guinea during WW2 and used there, which I thought was fanciful . He started it and ran the motor and it certainly is a mechanical wonder . Mike
