Default Some evidence that these were cut from tires

Hi Alex

I have seen these on CMPs that had obviously been cut from old tire casings. Given the shortage of rubber during the war would not be surprised that these and the rubber cab mounts were cut out of truck tire casing. Following this thought train have cut all of the ones I've replaced.

Cheers Phil

Default Or you could try ....

Brian Asbury. These shock rubbers were all over when Levy's came down. I'm sure he stocks them

Guys thanks for responses and ideas.

Phil, very interesting to hear that these rubbers were often cut from whatever old rubber they could find. I guess I could also do that, but I thought it would be easy enough to find some newly made rubbers at one of the parts suppliers.
I haven't had any luck with finding the rubbers at Chev of the forties or the filling station, or maybe I am not looking good enough. Will have another look this weekend.

Thanks again,

Alex
