Well I was the photographer! And sure, I know what the subject was. Here is the last one, really in the background but more visible as the one behind the Wimpy..

Keefy,

Is that a Mozzie fuselage I see in the background under the nose of the Wellington? It is sitting low and level, so can't be on its undercart.

Nice colour image, too .......

Yes I believe it is... the image has had a bit of retouching done, if you look at how the roundel has been sharpened... I wouldn't be surprised if it has been colourised.

Chalky, do you have more info on these pictures? Do you know where they were taken? Always good to see pics of early CMP's especially 8cwt's!

It sure looks like it. I guess the person retouching it ran out of time while doing the Mosquito
