Stew, thanks. It was a wild guess. It seems the truck in question is part of a museum collection.

The album also includes some good pics of the compartment on the rear of the tank that Hanno mentioned.

The Canadian ones seem to be completely oval shaped and have a round lid.

Correction....the lid on the Canadian tank is also oval shape, but it seems the Canadian one is flat, while the British one has some ribs on it.
