What did the C15A with the tank make? That and the Ford were probably the pick of the CMPs there.

41 ford in the photo's above $600
41 Ragtop made $3200. Same guy that bought the '38 on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. F30A $1700 F15A $2900 Pretty good jailbar was the bargain.... $800 Chevy with Fire tank $2,100 Hmmm cost of getting a start in a restoration is definitely only going one way

As predicted the sale was massive, with big money being forked out for stuff that scrapies would have gotten for nothing just a couple of years ago.
No I did not get the F15A, but I introduced myself to the winning bidder, and he is a nice guy who lives within an hour our so from here. He told me that buying the truck was "day one in the realisation of a boyhood dream", which made me feel a bit happier about seeing it go... He has my email address, I have encouraged him to join up here on MLU, and look forward to following his restoration journey. The little C15A and C60L semi have gone to a local collector who specialises in what I call "liquid restorations". He is a nice bloke too who along with his son have a collection of about 15 CMP's. Again, within an hour from here too! I'm glad Tony has reported on the prices as I was to busy socialising to hear most of it. In fact there was one lot I missed because I was talking, not 10 yards from where the lot was knocked down... ![]() H

This vehicle is a F60S. Tony Wheeler sent me these pictures.
![]() Under the bonnet: ![]() And the data plate: ![]() Note the date stamped in very small numbers lower right. Mike Cecil may be able to confirm it, but I believe we only imported F60S chassis. The data plates on the ambulances are stamped F60S, even though they have 16" wheels.
