Those cans are a $5 item around here. It was always hard finding ones that had not been dropped so many times that the inside liner coating was coming loose and plugging the fuel filters.
Actually, the paint would not initially plug the filters, it would plug the screen on the horsecock (flex spout). The driver would then remove and dispose of the little screen to "fix" the problem. Best thing we ever did was get rid of those cans. The M113s would catch those paint flakes in the quick disconnect to the engine, thus disabling the vehicle. Clean fuel is good fuel. I see the US Army has followed suit and gone over to the same Scepter plastic cans we have. |

Hi harry forgot about the can. next time. how were the discs? let me know as i have already told my nephew he'll need to get more...so let me know which ones work best...Casey
