That looks like a PU 8 cwt to me

Makes you wonder how many of these are still hiding in French sheds

I wonder what became of the PU8 spare vehicle I bought , it was in NSW near Deniliquin. It wasn't complete but good for spares.

I was too slow picking it up, I had paid the guy for it but he stabbed me in the back. I was down at the newsagents looking through JUST CARS , and I spotted it for sale . I even gave him a 1927 Buick parts book .

All types of nutters around

Mike

Ah.....another PU project...lovely! How did "so much" PU's end up in France anyway? Left-overs from German service, or Post-war supplies?

A pity your spares PU moved somewhere else. Any plans for for the resto of your other PU? Such a lovely complete project!

Alex,

AFAIK they are post-war supplies, there are 17-pdr gun tractors (ex-Portee) popping out of French sheds every now and then as well. And there's the late C4 recently discovered as well. Those are all of the post-Dunkirk era, so cannot be ex-German "Beute" vehicles.

The seller of this PU is asking €8.000,-. Rear body is not original.

H.

There are two kinds of people. Ones that move. And ones that move too slow.
