There were two methods of securing the front end of the cab. One used a set of tire carcass washers above, below and between the cab mount brackets. The other used bolts with springs and cotter pins, as you describe.

Thanks for the info, do you happen to have a picture of how the bolt/spring connection looks? My C60 has the rubber connection so it would be helpfull to see how the spring one looks.
