Hi Gary
The raised casted numbers are just that ....casting numbers ....not necessarily unique to one engine but a batch or model series..... The other two are stamped at a later date and are UNIQUE as serial numbers to that block and can be traced to actual assembly date/place if they have a suffix/prefix. Bob

Hey Bob
Thanks for that info. Well the fog has lifted and I turned the cam shaft and lo and behold........ the 2 screws I have been searching for. The cam shaft is now out and I have the plate with the mounts removed so I can put it on the engine I got from you Rob (Morrison). Once I get my gasket material for the transfer case I will be able to try a bit of a test drive. Gary
