It is a Fiat Campagnola (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Campagnola).

The interesting thing is that Fiat now has a Hummer type vehicle as well, the Fiat Oltre as a concept car back in 2005 http://www.carautoportal.com/fiat/fiat-oltre.php

Thanks for that, interesting to see they have been around in the Italian military since the 1950's, yet this is the first time I have seen a picture of one. I note there is also a Pope Mobile version. I wonder if any MLU members ever restored one.
