I had to ajust the hatch catch as the toung didn't get enough grip to stay shut on rough roads. While I was in the shed another small part was painted and put in the dash.

The sholder exercises are going well so today I tried some sanding and painting. Now the last tank bracket is painted. With Sam's help I cut a template for the bolt holes for the big angles that suport the tool box. I have drilled pilot holes and hope to feel fit enough to drill them out in the next couple of days.

Both tanks I have for my blitz are the same size but the filler necks are different distances from the front edge and onr has the bracing on top and the other underneath. I can get both tanks to fit just wondering why the difference.

Quote:
The Chev tanks I have are the larger spacing with the round cut away fuel sender The Ford ones I have are 6 inch spacing with below bracing and should have round flatter type fuel sender

Just had a look at my trucks
Learn something new every day On the Chevs they have a mixture of bracing on top and below with the larger spacing on the C15A and sigvan and a 2 inch spacing and below brace on the C60L, I am assuming it is to allow for spare tyre removal without wiping out the filler The Ford tanks I have all seem to have 6 inch spacing with below brace SO no idea ![]() Probably a model difference thing

Sam helped me put the last fuel tank bracket on today.
I sat the tank on to test fit and discovered that the strap marks on the tank are further apart than my brackets. I also noticed the front bracket was bent back so Sam used a crowbar to bend it back into place.
