Yes Andy it is always the bikes that grab my attention. But here are a couple more I came across today. No captions but obviously in the desert! Ron

Nice Bren pictures Stephen, where did you find those?

Couple from me. A Scout with some light tanks and some bikes abandoned at Dunkirk for Ron

Theres always a steady stream of carrier pictures on eBay but most have a sellers watermark. They can be quite useful but are spoilt a little due to the watermark. Shall we post them on this thread and have a rolling original/period photo thread? it would be a stream of new material......

Hello Ben.

Have picked them up over the years wherever I can find them, some may have appeared in books already but the more we can put out the better.

One you don't see very often. Abandoned in Dunkirk. I don't think any survive today.

Ive been trying to track a local one down near me that was used on a farm for this and carrying a water tank (strapped to its back!)
Sadly with many it was cut up a few years ago when the scrap prices went sky high over here....!!!!
Whatever possesses people is beyond me!!
Apparently it was complete with all tracks, engine and slightly chopped top plating!! And all mine for scrap value and only about 5 miles from me!!!!
I would have towed it home for that by hand...!!!!!
