From the Canadian Government Catalogue of Material dated Aug of 1984:

NSN 2540-21-858-2850 : Blackout porch kit, applicable truck, shop van, 2-1/2 ton M220

One of these days the bulb on my old microfiche reader is going to quit and I won't be able to look these things up anymore.

By the way, the CFR on the door of the Dodge appears to be missing the last digit.

My experience is with the MLVW Special Equipment Vehicles (SEV) office "box" and their penthouses. The SEV sits inside the ordinary truck box and the tailgate drops to access a conventional back door. The penthouse has a porch roof over the door and tailgate, a sloped roof for the stairs, and several flaps and wraparound baffles for light discipline, before transitioning to a modular tent end-section.

The blackout curtain photographed is much smaller than anything I have seen. So I had to remind myself of the layout of the Deuce and a Half shop trucks. Such a narrow tent made me wonder if there weren't expanded metal grill walkways around the truck. As for the truck at the link, this does not appear to be the case. So, is this blackout curtain just for the main door and tailgate?

Hey Rob,
Numbers will be fixed when I paint. The truck was owned by an old dutch guy who just wanted to celebrate the Canadian Army. None of the markings are correct. Mechanical, body, paint, in that order. And have fun while doing it, right.

Dan: Was that the truck that once was owned in Brampton, then sold to someone who had it at the St Thomas air show about 3-4 years ago?

I don't know if it ever was in Brampton, but I had it at St Thomas a few years ago. I was set up beside the modern Sigs guys.
