Mine has a manual choke. On the side there is a piston connected to a cam which has 3 holes in it I presume for adjustment. Mine has always been in the middle hole but is this the best position and what dose the piston do?

That's the accelerator pump as fitted the Chandler Groves (Ford 91/99) I have been rebuilding, the other holes are supposed to be used at high altitudes/ hot weather and in cold weather, the hole further in ( closer to the throttle valve shaft ) will displace the piston less for high altitude / very hot weather...and visa versa.

Thanks for that.
Wish I had known when I went to war and peace, might have save a lot of trouble. Dose the 6 on the bar that joins the piston and the cam mean anything? Stephen |

Assuming it's not too different, and you're planning on doing any work there's a useful rebuild overview here - http://www.streetmachineclub.com/Por...Layout%201.pdf and www.vintagespeed.com do some good rebuild kits (although the website's down at the moment). I can recommend picking up a Holley 26-68 jet driver on ebay - they're a pain to get out without damage (I failed) and the driver makes it a lot easier. |

I think there is a little mix up on what carb is on the Windsor and T16 compared to the mk 1 and mark11's
