Is this line truck identified as:

That is what I'm seeing in the same census publication.

Nope, it's ECC 124902. Instruction date is 9 Feb 71...not sure what date your ECC book is. I have copies of one of the census code books....if I run across it I'll see what it says.

124102 - Truck, cargo, 2-1/2 ton, 6 x 6, w/winch, w/e, M135
124107 - Cable layer, truck mounted
124902 - Truck, maintenance, 2-1/2 ton, 6 x 6, w/winch

I had a look at one that was available a couple years back(54-52536) just east of Edmonton, Neat unit.
