Hey Fellas,
I'm looking for items to complete a set of 64 Pattern Webbing (contents and all). ![]() Please PM me if you have anything, but specifically looking for: Yoke Strap, Mess Tin Carrier, Gas Mask Carrier and C2 Mask c/w Cannister, Bayonet Frog, FN C1A1 Bayonet and Scabbard, Silva Compass and Case. I have access to the 82 Pattern versions of these items (Mess Tin Carrier, Gas Mask Carrier etc) but am holding out for the original 64 Pattern Stuff. If you have a complete set, even better. I have cash, but never enough time to look for the stuff. Thanks Scotty

I didn't even realize these existed for the 64 Pattern Web Gear. Yes, would definitely like one as I have an Entrenching Tool for it.

Yes they did exsist, with that damn folding shovel with the pick on the reverse side...if you were digging with the pick folded, and your hand slipped down the handle. you badly cut your hand!!!
Contact me at northman@rogers.com and we can work one out Dean |

They were never issued for a reason. See above replies for the answer.

Looking at some of the photos, it looks like the black tri-fold "E Tool" would fit this case neatly.

Going back a few years to 1992, while on course in Wainwright, we had these buggers issued to us with the well used 64 Pattern covers. Standard issue at the battle school. They broke all the time(right after your hand got caught at the top)........

Funny I just came across 3 of those folding shovels with the pick, one is dated 1955 and made by Ames, the American Sword Maker, they also made the US folding shovels in WW2. Heres the kicker, the shovel is C Broad Arrowed!
So I had to buy it..there were 2 other shovels of this type also, both dated after 54, made by NSF and again C Broad Arrowed. I do not know who NSF was, however they showed use and came as surplus. Odd DEan |
