There is an NOS battery cover in my swap meet material for the OMVA Winter Show in Acton, Ontario (March 8). ... Brian

There may be more differences than just Ford/Chev.
I've seen some 13 cab Chev driver side step / running board set up for battery with the long axis transverse to the truck and others set up with the long axis along the vehicle. My impression is that the longitudinal mount may be too tight in spacing on C15A due to the fuel tank mounting location although I don't have document or photo proof to support this.

Grant, Good point. However I know on my truck the metal plate that the battery tray sits on was drilled for both ways. I couldn't figure out what the second set of holes were for then realized they lined up for a tray sitting parallel or perpendicular to the frame.
