The result is your box and the one on my `45 HUP are slightly different in dimensions and method of assembly mine box is all formed from a single piece of steel. The computer just turned up my CAD drawing for the mine, Ok got a file format I can post to MLU. ...Cheers Phil

Phil, There is no doubt that SBMA contracts were spread out to ensure a continuous supply of material for the assembly line, and thus there were differing designs and methods of manufactur. I have examples of both your design and the design I ended up copying. Bottom line is that no one can say with certainty that one design was correct, the other incorrect.

I encourage all HUPsters to use the design that works for them. The world is a better place when another HUP hits the road.
