Hello Richard,

I'm 20 miles from the carrier telling my brother where to rub. I can see the mark you mean and i have spoken to my brother again and he says there is nothing there. I'll give it a good wire brushing at the weekend to be sure. Will come up and see you soon as i get a bit of time.

Default The CB number (upper hull number?)
Is that on the angle above and behind the gunners seat?

Yes the CB number is from behind the gunner.
