Default Tool Clamp threaded rod

You might find that when you fit your track strainer in the proper bracket the bent arms may not locate in their location properly.
The threaded rod for the tool clamps in the book say 3/4 inch long, I have samples of NOS ones that are 62mm long, see pictures, and yes the one down on the back bulkhead R/H corner is 3/16 dia. , all others 5/16 unf. Cheers

Wink Jack Holder

Hi Dale , never seen this one before, have other examples of where the sides have been modified to take a different jack of the era, and of course the standard jack, but not this one.

Started working on the floor plate this week . Lots more work then I thought ! Got all the bits sorted out and sprayed Kharki green today . Tomorrow I will bolt it all together . Also , followed Darrin's lead and welded all new fastening countersink bolts to the floor plate , and ground flush as to make it easier to adjust later on . Dale

Floor plate is finished . Can someone tell me , if the floor plate in bolted in , will the steering column still be able to be installed after , even with a sealed bearing on the end of the shaft ? Dale

Default Floor plate

I think it is best to bolt the whole lot in together, just check the height from floor base to steering column box on the hull , so that the top edge of the steering box will fit under, cheers

Default Floor plate

Defintately better to bolt the whole lot together. Getting the castelated nut on the bolt that goes through the front part of the spider that activates the brakes is difficult, but try getting the split pin in when it's all bolted in. I gave up figured gravity would keep the bolt in place. Afterwards I remembered that I bolted it all in together first time but that was 37 years ago!! Your carrier is looking good. Regards, Jim.
