I always thought the Aussie CMP's always had the rectangular roof hatch and not the round one as shown.

And it has the Canadian, not Australian front shell with the rhomboidal vents.

Hello
I thank you for your answer , but if it's a canadian truck , has this truck a specific designation after the pattern C60L ? |

most of the 16inch wheel models in this longer wheelbase had a rating of 30cwt and not 3 ton. BUT most of these to my knowledge had 134inch wheelbases not 158 inch. so it is a puzzle

I found this factory photo of a 13 cab LWB 'office' on 16inch rims. This photo came from Service publications Factory Photo CD. Note the factory fitted spare wheel mount!

In my idea , I think that some 158 wheel base truck had 1050X16 tires because may be there was a lack of tire 1050X20. So for the truck with dental body or any truck which had only to be drive on good road it was most easy to put such little wheels. For other they had 1050X20 tires.
Worl of CMP is so complex !!!!! |

Serge,
That very same truck was offered for sale on MLU - see Restored C-60L Cab13 For Sale. The contract number PE-197 has come up in discussions before, somehow these were ordered by the Australians but never delivered. It seems they were indeed factory fitted with 16" wheels. These were normally used for Ambulance, Dentist trucks etc. Regards, Hanno

I have only ever seen one other round hatch C60L and that was in Dalby Queensland about 30 years ago. My truck and the one I saw both have/had 20 inch wheels. Ken
