Cheers, Shaun is going to try and make some out of wood.. It's just to limit the Mount of dust getting into the engine area.

As the fan is sucking in all the dust anyway, sandblasting you along the way, it makes no difference to the amount of dust getting in your carrier. I know from last year and several years at the Hopfarm.

Hello Richie,

Excellent thread on a job well done! But could you please attach the pictures to your posting instead of using a link to an externally hosted picture?
I'm asking as history tells us that those externally linked pictures disappear one day, and then a useful thread like this becomes useless.

Thanks in advance!

Well I have the shoes back and the drums will be there waiting when I get home, the company recommended woven pads which is as per the comments above, so good call !

The company worked out what I needed and made the pads oversize they are just over 12mm thick !

So will get them all built back up and tracks back on when I get home later !

Default Italian campaign

Richie, here's a nice shot of an Italian campaign 3" mortar carrier in your colour scheme, note the ingenious way of carrying a spare wheel, 'mortar tube bracket', nice detailed character picture.

Kev.

I had an idea about a boat race involving carriers and tracks... Two man teams per carrier... Tracks broken and withdrawn from the vehicle... Last team to fit the tracks gets a penalty.

However Sbi have just torn a muscle in my back , I can no longer put up a reasonable standard or competition !

Kev I have never seen that image before, excellent quality ! If the carrier was displaying that scheme, the chances are it came in via Bizzerta and perhaps had a stint on Op Husky.

Well carrier is loaded and away... Marc's tent, Lynn's dizzy bits, Nigel's fenders... Some fuel and a deck chair..... That ought to do it eh ?
