If you get the shoes touching around the best part of the lining, it will good because modern lining (non-asbestos) can take ages to bed in and you should get good steering and brake performance immediately. regards, Richard

The nearside drum is on but like I say it binds, and the adjuster is at it's smallest, I can still turn the drum by hand so I am in two minds to take more off or let the drum take any high spots off. Contact area is huge now so I hope the thing stops and steers as good as I anticipate.

Brakes back on ! Had to shape the shoes with a grinder and paddle disc.. Roasting hot day, boiler suit zipped right up, respirator and visor, and gloves.... Bloody aweful ! Despite this I am still itchy itchy itchy ! Third shower on its way methinks
However the carrier starts, stops, and steers like a champ. !

Rich, one thing you need to remember next weeks holiday season, if your carrier catches fire or even blows up your on holiday, keep smiling, relax chill and fix it later, a static display is just as good, don't worry, enjoy the weather, good company. It's just a lump of metal at the end of the day, life's to short to worry, enjoy.
Kev.
