The fuel tank looks like a 40-48 truck cab (civvy/MCP) fuel tank. The engine is a car unit with single pulleys on the water pumps and genny, and low rad fan. I'd wager it being a 221. I like the "transmission" with it's railway lever style clutch, and it looks to have an oil feed pipe to the output bearing? There doesn't look to be enough room between the chassis rails to directly mount a 42" saw blade to the output shaft, so would this has been connected to a driveshaft? |

Tony,
I reckon it was a unit that had been long in service before the new type of stock numbers came in and it has had the plate retro-fitted to identify it, hence why no date or makers details.

Tony Smith, If it is the same as the one supplied by Ford of Canada (In my book that is not here)And if I recall correctly, It has a belt pulley. I also recall it ran a Magneto, so maybe the engine was swapped out, or it is an entirely different unit. did that help?
